Crescent Moon Night Sky Watercolor Bookmark

The Crescent Moon Night Sky Watercolor Bookmark is a celestial lover’s dream. In this series, there are four bookmarks that are individually painted in watercolor. Each painting is the night sky, with clouds, stars, and a crescent moon. These bookmarks are painted on artist quality paper, and watercolor paints. Although, these small paintings are in the same theme each one is an original work of art. In the bookmark format, these mini paintings are gorgeous and functional.

The length of each crescent moon painting is 6″ x 2″. For authenticity, all bookmarks are signed and dated. Each painting is protected by a plastic bookmark sleeve, and measures at 7.50″ x 2.50″.

To add a bit of whimsy, each bookmark is adorned with ribbon tassels to match the paintings. Two of the four Crescent Moon Night Sky Watercolor Bookmark tassels are blue, white, and gold, while the other two are dark blue, white, and gold. Since I’m mostly known for my work in handmade silver jewelry, I decided to include a sterling silver charm of a star that is located at the top of each bookmark. This silver star adds a nice touch to the bookmark, and can also be worn on a chain as a necklace.

Inspiration for the Crescent Moon Night Sky Watercolor Bookmark

In my early teens, I had a fascination with the celestial theme. There is something mysterious about the night sky. I remember seeing various items such as stationary, cards, stickers, and bedding with crescent moons, and stars at the local shops. I thought it was magical!

Now in my late 40’s, celestial themes are still a favorite of mine, so I was inspired to create paintings and make handcrafted silver jewelry in my interpretation of it.
