Jewelry Ideal for stylish women that want personal connection
Santellano Signature Jewelry Collection
On my travels, I was walking down some old streets in Europe and couldn’t help but feel so much inspiration! I’m there in a place I’d never heard of until now and staring at some old structures. All I could do was stand there and imagine their stories. It was as if I could see cycles of life’s ups and downs. Almost like I was standing in a movie set but this was for real. In that moment I didn’t have to know the truth about their beginnings to see their magnificence. It’s enough to stand right in front of these buildings and know that life captured a radical moment in time.
Unforgettable memories
These old structures are someone’s dream that came to life and it’s still alive long after they’ve gone. It got me thinking about how I could bring these memories back home. I suppose that’s one of the many benefits of traveling. We get to create unforgettable memories. But for me, that’s not enough. They say a picture’s worth a thousand words and it is, but I wanted more. I’ve been given a superpower. I believe everyone has one and mine is to create beautiful things with my hands so that I can share them with you.
I’ve got the travel bug
So often I’m working long hours and totally forget about life outside my bubble. Being an ambitious career woman yourself, I’m sure you can relate. Like you, I LOVE what I do! So pulling me away can be like pulling teeth. LOL! But given the chance to travel, my bags are packed and I’m ready to go! Travel is one of the things I cherish so much in this world and wanted to bring my memories back home.
At the crossroads
It was our last day in Ireland and we were out for a hike to get some much needed fresh air. We’d been up to this trail before and usually go straight up. But this time I was feeling a bit under the weather and needed a boost. So when we got to the fork in the road we went to the left. What can I say? I was in a mood and needed to explore and good thing we did because we ended up in the woods. And suddenly my muse kicked in! Staring at the bark on old trees and intertwining vines gave me SO many ideas. I knew I had to capture these textures in my signature collection.
Hammered Textures
Since much of my training comes from silversmithing, I’ve got a passion for hammered textures. In order to capture the textures of bark from the forest, I’ve used various hammering techniques. You’ll also be able to recognize some cylindrical shapes in some of my pieces that are inspired by tall round towers from Glendalough.
Jewelry with personal connection
Unlike a photograph, my jewelry expresses nuances of memories in Europe through shapes and textures. It’s my dream to bring those memories to life and give you that personal connection in a luxurious jewelry collection that you can wear daily.
